Engr. Munir Uddin Ahmed is the Founder and the Managing Director of Star-delta Engineers Ltd. He is a self-made business personality who started his business career in the construction sector & is playing a pivotal role in the infrastructural development of the country. He founded Star-delta Engineer Ltd. in 1985 & got early success.  He is one of the pioneers who introduced modern technology in the construction sector to ensure quality works. His company has been involved in construction works of number of mega-construction projects including infrastructural development of export processing zone and providing immense contribution in the massive infrastructural development work of the country aligned with the global vision of the country from the least developed to developing countries.

Born in 1953, Engr. Ahmed has blended a unique sense of commitment and patriotism which he acquired though his participation in the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971. He was a renowned student political leader and a dedicated freedom fighter and attaches highest importance to national priorities and his works in the development sector is true reflections of his commitment to the nation. He is a prominent leader of the Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) and BUET Alumni Association.

Engr. Ahmed completed his studies in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 1979 and since then engaged himself in the construction industry involving in construction works. He is also one of the pioneer founding members of Bangladesh Association of Construction industry (BACI) established in 1996. He felt necessity to establish a trade organization in the construction sector with a mission to promote the development of construction industry of Bangladesh .Today as a President of BACI as well as a leading business personality taking the flagship of the construction industry within the country and international arena. As a President of BACI, he attended international seminar /workshop organized by International Federation of Asian & Western Pacific Contractor Associations (IFAWPCA). He attended conference in Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and other counteries. Personally he visited number of countries for business promotional trips.

​Social commitments of Engr. Ahmed go beyond the people of his business outfits. His generosity and willingness to do things for others make him contribute to various charity funds as well as poor freedom fighters. He freely gives his service and makes regular donations to the religious and educational institutions of his own locality and from other backward areas of the country.
