Since its founding as an unincorporated association in the Philippines on March 10, 1956, it has taken IFAWPCA sixty-six (66) years to obtain legal status as an international incorporated Federation. On March 10, 2016, IFAWPCA reached the milestone's last stage. The legal forms for registration were signed and notarized in the Philippines last August 12, 2022.

This important milestone of the Fraternity will not be possible with the help of the Registration Committee Chaired by Mr. Foo Chek Lee and with the advice from the Legal Adviser Mr. John Tong and Contracts Officer, Ms. Anne Roa, together with the help from the committee members and IFAWPCA Secretariat with the full support of the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), since the establishment of IFAWPCA in the Philippine up to the present.

The current and former IFAWPCA Officers, Messrs. Mohamed Ali Janah, President, Ahmed Alau Ali, Secretary-General, Ramesh Sharma, 1st Vice President, Jayaram Lamichchane, Pro-Secretary General, Levy V. Espiritu, Executive Director, Isidro Consunji former Executive Director and Chairman and President of DMCI Holdings as well as Augusto F. Manalo former Executive Board Member and President and CEO of J.E. Manalo and Company Inc. served as the foreign and local incorporators to seal this important triumph.
